About The Artist
Lori Twiggs, was raised primarily in Washington State and married
young at the age of 18 to her present husband.  By that time she had
established her love for the fine arts.  After a sabbatical for the sake of
raising a family, she revisited her original passion for the arts, immersing
herself in books, magazines, and websites in lieu of formal education and
began a painting crusade.

Lori’s early work consisted mostly of what she saw around her rural
setting including old barns, fences and gravelly roads.  It wasn’t until she
painted “Road Home” where she discovered her love for a more
impressionistic style which led to the paintings “The Reeds”, “After The
Harvest”, and “Crossing The Creek”.

Frustrated by her inevitable addiction to detail and her pallets, she
put her smallest brushes out of reach and began a journey into color
studies which resulted in “Flower Stand” and “River Walk 2”.  The drive
for experimenting with color and technique keeps Lori at her easels.

Lori’s interest in art drew her to the local art organization Arts Alive!
Where she currently serves on the board and volunteers in the gallery.
